Sorry for the lack of nail updates, but here are the last of my nails creations until October. I have taken the acrylics off , I know I know it is sad but we all must not fret. It was something that needed to be done.

R.I.P Sho’Nuff

August 21, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Julius J. Carry passed away on Tuesday of complications from pancreatic cancer in his Studio City, CA home. He played Sho’nuff in the 80’s classic movie “The Last Dragon” and yes I said classic! I don’t know about you but that movie and Sho’nuff’s character provided me and my friends with hours of entertainment and to this day I still stop what I’m doing to watch that movie when it’s on. With that said, RIP Sho’nuff the MASTAH and THE SHOGUN OF HARLEM!- Mboogy

Its Not SOHA or NOHA its Harlem!!!!!

August 20, 2008 · Leave a Comment

This morning I flipped through the Metro newspaper and was looking through the real estate section and there it was “Luxurious apartment rentals in SOHA starting from $2200″. Now I am no big fan of Harlem, but it doesn’t need to be disrespected like that. Since when is it ok to start making Harlem look like 5th ave? And since when is it ok to change the name of a an historical city into something that sounds so fake?!? I love the chic lifestyle but places like Harlem don’t need that. The times when I used to hang uptown it had a warm homey feeling to it that was inviting. Now with a name like it sounds so unpleasant. If I ever catch someone saying they live in SOHA they will get slapped and be reminded that IT’S HARLEM BITCH!!! NOT SOHA!!!!!!
